Keith Tuxhorn

Keith Tuxhorn started contra dancing in Illinois in 1989, and never stopped. After moving to Austin, his interest in the style increased so much that he began learning to call in 2002. In the fall of 2004 called his first gig. Since then he's called in Wimberley, Houston, San Antonio, College Station and Oklahoma City. Keith calls often for one of the 6 regularly scheduled contra dances in Austin each month. His smooth, fluid calling and interesting dances make for a fun evening. Keith is very involved in the planning for Austin's Fire Ant Frolic dance weekend. And when he's not dancing, he makes a living doing massage for those sore muscles.
